Answer:

Monkey Trouble is a story about a female monkey named Tutu,

written by Ruskin Bond. Grandfather was fond of keeping unusual pets

and so he bought Tutu from a street entertainer for ten rupees. Though

Tutu was pretty and clever, she was very mischievous. She brought a lot

of damage to the house. Initially author’s grandmother was against

keeping a monkey as a pet but with time she accepted her. Her mischiefs

created havoc at home. Tutu’s main victims were Aunt Ruby, Grandma

and to some extent Uncle Benji.

Once Tutu scared Aunt Ruby by trying on her petticoat in her

bedroom, as Aunt Ruby had not been informed of Tutu’s arrival.

Grandfather had to visit Meerut to collect his railway pension. He

decided to take Tutu along in a large travelling bag . The ticket collector

was taken aback on seeing Tutu while he was checking through the ticket.

He asked grandfather to buy a ticket for Tutu equating it with dog.

Grandfather argued with the ticket collector but all was in vain.

In order to teach the ticket collector a lesson for being unfair

grandfather took out a small tortoise to which the ticket collector realized

his intention and said “No charge, sir. It is not a dog!” and gave a

triumphant look.
