Answer:
The poem is set in the world of nature. It shows the world through the eyes of a scarecrow.
Explanation:
In the poem ‘In Morning Dew’ by Keki N. Daruwalla, the poet personifies the scarecrow and tells us how he can see and observe everything going around him. After a good night’s sleep, he becomes alert and looks tidy because the dew settles the scarecrow’s hair. Though the scarecrow has no life it spies on all kinds of animals and birds that pass by the fields except his shadow that disappears at sunset. One thing which troubles the scarecrow is the seasons. He doesn’t know the order of seasons and where they come from, how they affect him and where they go, do the seasons come from the earth or drop down from the sky. The questions are unanswered because he avoids using his brain. His head goes round in circles like oxen on a threshing floor as he fails to understand the world around him.
