Tagore's poem "Paper Boats" tells us that the ways of children are highly imaginative. In this poem, the child speaker plays with his paper boats. He envisions putting pieces of paper with his name and village written on them in these fragile vessels and setting the boats to sail far away. He hopes that the boats will land in "strange places" and that the people there will become aware of.

The poem paper boat is written by legendary poet Rabindra Nath Tagore . Here the poet writes about a boy who sails his paper boats each and every day and hopes that they can float long and long in a strange land.
The boy every day floats his paper boat in the running stream .He writes in bold black letters , his name and the village in he lives , so that if the boats are caught by any strange person .He loaded his boat with shiuli flowers which he plucks from his garden and hopes that these flowers can be carried safely to the land .He does it so.that he can give the shiuli flowers as a gift to the strange person . The shiuli flowers are refered as 'blooms of dawn' as the shiuli flower blooms at dawn .Then he launch his papper boats and look up in the sky and see the little clouds with bulging sails .Then he says that he don't who are the persons who sends his friends to race with his boats .
At night , when he go to sleep he hide his face in his arms and dreams that his paper boats and floating till now , under the midnight stars with sleeping fairies in them .The fairies has a basket full of dreams .
