sun is largely made up of hydrogen (about 70%) and helium (28%).

Rooneo: it is made of hydrogen about 70%,helium about 20%.Carbon,nitrogen and oxygen made up 1.5% and the other 0.5% is made up of small amount of element such as neon, iron silicon, magnesium and sulphur..The sun shine because it is turning hydrogen inyo helium via the process of nuvlear fusion in its extremely hot core
