Duplex-rule, which was enforced by the Government of India Act, in the provinces of British India. This was the first of the principle of democracy in the executive branch of the British administration of India. In spite of much criticism, it was able to gain importance as a new discovery in the British Government, and in 1935, it became India's full provincial autonomy and independence of 1947. E.S. Montagu and Lord Chelmsford implemented the duplex-regime system as a constitutional reform.
