T.C.P. is transfer control protocol and it works as an ftp Protocol Control port where the main function is to work on F.T.P. based commands and undergo flow control.(Port 21)
On the other hand, U.D.P. is even very important. Port 22 and port 23 stand function in which the main function is to work as a secured form of login and enable in easy file transfer. They even help in communicating texts and work as telnet form of protocol.
So, generally the port numbers that are used on regular basis by the home computers work as port 21, port 22 or port 23. However there are many other cases also.
