The theme for this year's International Women's Day is I am Generation Equality: Realizing Women’s Rights.

• International Women's Day is celebrated on 8th March 2020 all over the world in honour of the women who work relentlessly.

• United Nations celebrates this day with special themes.

- In 1997, the theme was Planning for the Future, which tells the stories of those women who was tired of watching and waiting for an outcome fated in wars fought by men, and they became active in their respective fields.

- In 2003, the theme was A Promise is a Promise: Time for Action to End Violence Against Women, that tells the importance of ending violence against women and girls. To make a promise is to stay firm with that, in protecting women and girls from violence. It tells our duties to participate as an active worker of goodwill.

- In 2020, the theme is I am Generation Equality: Realizing Women’s Rights. This campaign demans equal pay at work. Mostly prescribing women's rights and care with equality.
