The Song if the Rain depicts the value and beauty of rain in a beautiful manner. The rain is compared to the tears of heaven and the jewels of Ishtar's crown. The rain is personified since it sings it's own song. The rain is the harbinger of water, which quenches the Earth's thirst and is a boon for the world. The poem is written in a metaphorical manner by Khalil Gibran.
