The theme of the poem " The ball" is that we should learn the responsibility of each and everything which comes in our life.
Here the poet wants to say us that..if ever we loose something with which we are connected so deeply, then we should forget about it and console and go on. Cos it's no use crying over split Milk.
Here in the ball poem, the boy lost his ball with which he was having lots and lots of memories. so the boy is in his first stage of learning the responsibility and the value of life.
