The theme of this poem is seven ages a man goes through from birth to his death. A man plays seven different roles in his lifetime.
1. During birth time, the child is fed by its parents and they are cute moments are adored. They will do different activities like cry, laugh without realizing anything completely.
2. Once it got bigger, he will go to school, where he learns a lot and also plays a lot.
3. During the third stage, he will be in teenage. During this stage, he will feel love and heart breaks a lot. This was also explained by Shakespeare in his another poem "Romeo and Juliet".
4. Fourth stage is considered as young stage. Shakespeare explains at this stage, man in older times will move to army and become a young soldier. Because they will have lot of energy at this stage.
5. In Fifth stage, man have to settle themselves with a perfect career, have to do marriage and settle with a family of kids.
6. According to the poet, old age is the sixth stage of life, where man believed 40 to 50 is an old age and felt lucky to live.
7. Seventh stage is the final stage of life, where man become extremely older and attain the end of their life, which is called death.
