Karl Marx states that istory of mankind is the history of material relation.
It started with primitive communism where ppl lived in jungles .There was no private property. Everthing belonged to evryone.
Then came slavery …..
Followed by fedalism and eventually capitalism,
Marx goes on to state the demerits of capitalism.
It will lead to commodification of labor.
Labor will feel sense of depriviation as he wold only get part pof the profit. The major chunk will be usurped by the capitalist himself.
This will lead to unification of labor. The unification will lead to polarization i.e creation of 2 distinct class.
Capitalist…thsoe who control capital\
Proletariat….those who own their labor
Eventually the proletariats who will be in large number will overthrow the capitalist. The ownership of the means of production will then be pased on to the State. After sometimes even the State will perish and the labor will themselv become the oner of their labor.
A/c to Marx this will be the end of human history.
HOwevr utopic it may seem. Marx theory of socialism has some modern day impact…for eg. Obama care being launched in USA for ensuring basic treatment facility to people…
Occupy Wall street movt. showed the signs of unrest lying underneath the tipsy topsy world of American capitalism
