The special theory of relativity was based on two main postulates: first, that the speed of light is constant for all observers; and second, that observers moving at constant speeds should be subject to the same physical laws. Following this logic, Einstein theorized that time must change according to the speed of a moving object relative to the frame of reference of an observer.

It is very complex theory proposed by Albert Einstein. It relates speed of light with time. According to this, the faster you travel, the slower the time is for you. It talks about space-time fabric and proposes time as a dimension. Space is 3D and time is 1D. So Space-Time is 4D. Speed of light is irrespective of the speed of observer. It gives even more precise explanation to gravity. It makes time travel possible.
