Due to the Moon's orbital prograde motion, it takes a particular point on the Earth (on average) 24 hours and 50.5 minutes to rotate under the Moon, so the time between high lunar tides fluctuates between 12 and 13 hours. Factors influenced ---> The Moon's Path, Centrifugal force , Gravity

tanishka26: but in my book it is written A particular tide centre takes 24hrs 52min to come under the moon but by the time there is another tide at the opposite side of the reffered tide centre and this happens after 12hrs 26min so is 12hrs 26min correct
