The gravitational field g inside the earth is related to the distance from the centre (r) by

g α r

g = kr

Thus at the centre r = 0

=> g = 0

Time period of a simple pendulum is given by

T = 2π√(l/g)

=> T = 2π√(l/0)

=> T = ∞

So time period at the centre of the earth becomes infinite
