What is the Time period of training in Musori LBSNAA?​

Total time period of training for IAS at LBSNAA is 2 years.

These are divided as follow.

• Foundation Course:  this about lasts three months. All selected candidates of grade A Central services and All India Services in the CSE are invited to join the foundation course. There after, Candidates of various services go to their respective academies. For example IFS go to foreign services Institute in new delhi and IRS to NADT, nagpur and IAS  stay back to LBSNAA.
• Bharat Darsan:  IAS officers go for about 40-45- days spanning the entire country. It is essential part of training as they meet various district administration.
• Phase-1 : core training for IAS.
• District Training :  IAS get their respective posting in district and work as  assistant collector. This lasts for 10-11 months.
• Phase-2 :  After completing district training, IAS back to LBSNAA at mussoorie for core IAS training for 2 months.
• Assistant Secretary : after phase 2, all IAS officers posted in new delhi with different ministries as assistant secretaries. Here they get exposed to the working of the central govt. and state govt. coordination.
• Confirmation: On successful completion of this, they get confirmed by President of INDIA.
