Answer:

Explanation:

When new plants are grown from parts of plants like leaf, roots, etc in a artificial medium it is known as tissue culture. In this method of asexual reproduction, a part of plant like leaf is taken and kept in a medium containing plant hormones like cytokinins, auxins, giberellins, etc. Here they form callus. They are then transferred to another medium containing nutrient , here the cells divides rapidly and forms Plantlets. They can be next planted in soil. A large number of plants can be formed in this method, which are disease free.

Answer:

The procedure in which a small tissue pieces or organs is removed from a donor plant and cultured aseptically on a nutrient medium is called Tissue Culture. This production is also known as micropropagation technique.

A cell or tissue is transferred into suitable synthetic medium under sterile conditions. The tissue then develops into a fast growing cellular mass called callus. The callus is transferred to another medium for growth and differentiation that forms plantlets. The plantlets can be transplanted into soil or pots where they can be grown to maturity.
