The torrid zone is the heat zone between the topic of cancer and topic of capricorn. The temperature zones are the zones between the arctic circle and the tropic of cancer and between the antarctic circle and the tropic of capricorn. The torrid zone is the hottest zone and the sun's rays are overhead two times a year. The temperate zone has a moderate temperature. The sun's rays are never overhead on it.

The torrid zone lies between tropics of cancer & capricorn, while the temperate zone has been divided into 2, the north temperate zone which lies between tropic of cancer & arctic circle, the south temperate zone lies between tropicof capricorn & antarctic circle.
