Answer: 3 mol H atoms means 1.8069 x 10 ^ 23 atoms of H. Since each H atom has one electron, total electrons in 3 mol H atoms is 1.8069 x 10 ^ 24. Since charge on an electron is e- = -1.602176×10 ^ -19 C (Coulombs).

Given:

Mass of hydrogen = 3 gram

To Find:

Total charge of all the electrons in coulomb.

Calculation:

- No of moles of hydrogen in 3 gm = 3 / 1 = 3 moles

- No of hydrogen atoms in 3 moles = 3 × 6.022 × 10²³

⇒ No of hydrogen atoms in 3 moles = 18.066 × 10²³

- No of electrons in 1 hydrogen atom = 1

⇒ No of electrons in 18.066 × 10²³ hydrogen atoms = 18.066 × 10²³

- Charge on 1 electron = 1.6 × 10⁻¹⁹ C

- Charge on 18.066 × 10²³ electron = 1.6 × 10⁻¹⁹ × 18.066 × 10²³

⇒ Q = 28.9 × 10⁴ C

Q = 2.89 × 10⁵ C
