Given -

  • Length of box = 10cm

  • Breadth of box = 8cm

  • Height of box = 2.5cm

To find -

  • Total surface area of box.

Formula used -

  • TSA of cuboid.

Solution -

In the question, we are provided with the dimensions of a cuboidal box, and we need to find the total surface area of that box. For that we will use the formula of TSA of cuboid. let's do it!

So -

TSA of cuboid = 2(lb + bh + hl)

where -

l = Length

b = Breadth

h = Height

On substituting the values -

TSA = 2(lb + bh + hl)

TSA = 2(10cm)(8cm) + (8cm)(2.5cm) +

(2.5cm)(10cm)

TSA = 2(80cm + 20cm + 25cm)

TSA = 2(125cm)

\longrightarrow TSA = 250cm³

\therefore The TSA of box is 250cm³

Other formule -

1. Lateral/curved surface area of cuboid = 2h(l + b)

2. Volume of cuboid = L × B × H

Answer:

Given :-

  • A box whose dimension is 10 cm × 8 cm × 2.5 cm.

To Find :-

  • What is the total surface area or T.S.A.

Formula Used :-

T.S.A of Cuboid = 2(lb + bh + hl)

where,

  • l = Length
  • b = Breadth
  • h = Height

Solution :-

Given :

  • Length = 10 cm
  • Breadth = 8 cm
  • Height = 2.5 cm

According to the question by using the formula we get,

T.S.A = 2{(10 × 8) + (8 × 2.5) + (2.5 × 10)}

T.S.A = 2(80 + 20 + 25)

T.S.A = 2(100 + 25)

T.S.A = 2(125)

T.S.A = 250 cm³

The total surface area of an open box is 250 cm³.
