"Translatory" motion means any motion from one point to another, as long as the object moving does not rotate.
"Translatory motion" is when all points in a body move the same distance in the same time - translatory motion does not require that the object move in a straight line. The term "translatory motion" is used with 2- or 3-dimensional bodies, where you could have rotation of the body as it moves.
