cover the area of the burn .use a cool, moist bandage or clean cloth . don't immerse large serve burns in water .doing so could a serious loss of body heat.

What is thermal burn ??
A thermal burn is the burn resulting from making a contact of heated object like steam etc.
Treatment -
Topical antibiotic ointment may be applied . This may be antibiotic ointment such as Neosporin or Silvadene etc.
Cooling the burn with water is beneficial. Ice , butter and cream cannot be use because they can worsen the burn.
