Tyndall Effect is the scattering of light through a medium like scattering of light in canopy of trees.

Tyndall Effect in

(i) True Solution: Tyndall effect is not possible in true solution beacuse the particles are not big enough (less than to scatter a beam of light.

(ii) Colloid: Tyndall effect is possible in colloids because the particles are big enough (more than 10nm) to scatter a beam of light passing through it.

(iii) Suspension: Tyndall effect is possible in suspension as the particles are big enough (visible to human eye i.e. more than 100nm) to scatter a beam of light. But when the particles settle down tyndall effect stops.
