the phenomenon exibited here is PHOTOTROPISM
➡it is the process in which plant grows towards light source
➡the stem shows +ve phototropism and root shows -ve phototropism
➡in this process the part of the plant (stem's part) which is away from sunlight accumulates auxin in higher concentration and hence undergoes vigorous growth where auxin is present resulting in increase in number of cells ( in the direction of light. )
➡And hence the plant grows and bends towards direction of light.
