what is the ultimate purpose of life? how are we contributing to the universe by our sheer existence ? i know the purpose of life is not "to make ourselves happy " or make lots of money or build good houses and have a good job because life had existed even millions of years before our transition into more conscious beings so what is it that dictates our purpose?

I have thought about this question for years.My friend in this vast ambigous universe,the purpose of a human is to serve humanity.And do renember service is to be offered not to be paid.
