The universally accepted unit of force is Newton, which is denoted by capital n, denoted as ‘N’.


The unit is named after Sir Isaac Newton. One Newton of force can be expressed as per kilogram meter per second squared.


If we try to understand what one unit of force will apply, we can understand it by, it is the force required to accelerate an object of 1kg mass to 1 meter per square second.
