What is the use of a stirrer in determining melting point of ice

Answer:

Though the water in the mixture gets the boiling point at 100 degree C. the solids depend on the heat received by water to heat up themselves . So the stirrer helps the heat to spread evenly in the mixture. The solids disturb the evenness of heat in water .
