Answer:  Iodised salt is advisable to help reduce the chance of iodine deficiency in humans. Iodine deficiency commonly leads to thyroid gland problems , specifically endemic goiter. In endemic goiter, there occurs enlargement of the thyroid gland due to iodine deficiency. This results in a huge swelling in the neck region. Use of iodised salt is especially important in places around the world where natural levels of iodine in the soil are low and iodine is not taken up by vegetables. Therefore the iodized salt is advised.

                                         Hope this helps you ..............
