Hello dear...here is your answer

A lighthouse is a tower, building, or other type of structure designed to emitt light from a system of lamps and lenses and to serve as a navigational aid for maritime pilots at sea or on inland waterways.

Hope it helps

SAenderGirl: The use of a lighthouse is to guide sailors during periods of bad weather or danger to the right direction/a safe place using a large light on top of a tall tower-like building which is in the sea. It also helps them to navigate where they are if they are lost.
SAenderGirl: Sorry! I didn't need to put my definition here. I'm new and got confused. I hope you dont mind
Anonymous: No No dear....It's okk
