phylum porifera and sponges have water transport or canal system .and it consist three parts 1. ostia 2. spongocoel 3. osculum.
firstly waters enters through minutes pores (ostia) in the body walls into a central cavity spongocoel from where it goes out through the osculum. this pathway of water transport is helpful in food gathering, respiratory exchange and removal of waste
