The use of pH in soil is to test which fertilizers are good for soil growth.
Ant sting contains acid , the use of pH will help us to detect the base for it to neutralize it's effect.

The soil must be of an ideal pH so that the plants can grow well , if the soil is having low pH , it is said to be acidic and plants do not grow properly here.
The ideal pH for the soil would be 7.6
The sting of an ant contains FORMIC ACID which has a low pH and is acidic and therefore the ants use it as a defense.
Formic acid is injected when it stings and it causes irritation and pain in the area stung.
