capacitor  is  device used to store an electric charge in form of static field separated by 2 insulators
Inductor  is also a charge storing device but in form of magnetic field
diode is a semiconductor device with two terminals, typically allowing the flow of current in one direction only
Transistor is also a semiconductor device used for amplification  and some times rectification..
