Tags are used to describe how s web page should be displayed. They determine the major structural components of a document such as headings, paragraphs and horizonatal lines. There are a large number of tags in HTML with each tag being used for some specific task.
A tag consists of a left angle bracket (<) a tag nane and a right angle bracket (> ) For example, <BODY> us a tag where BODY is the name of the tag. None that while writing tags, you should not include extra spaces. The browser dies nor recognise the tag having spaces in it and consequently ,display the wrong output. for example, the browser considers <BODY> and <BODY> as incorrect tags.
