We use many methods and processes to separate different mixtures.

But u know whether u get a pure substance or not??

Of course impure...

According to science a substance which can't be separated more is called a pure substance.

What about the impurities in it?? Dust particles etc...

It can be separated only by the process of crystallisation.

crystallisation is a process which is used to remove all the impurities from the given solid.

By crystallisation process, we get a pure solid.

Method of crystallisation :-

• take some salt and dissolve it in water.

• start boiling the solution till it becomes a Saturated solution.

• filter the solution and cover it will a filter paper.

• let it cool and leave the solution undisturbed.

• after 1 or 2 days u will see crystals at the bottom of the solution.

Those crystals are the pure form of salt.

Similarly u can use his process to purify any other solid.

HOPE THIS HELPS..!!

Crystallization is the (natural or artificial) process by which a solid forms, where the atoms or molecules are highly organized into a structure known as a crystal. Some of the ways by which crystals form are precipitating from a solution, freezing, or more rarely deposition directly from a gas.
