Transport of oxygen is used to make ATP.

Oxygen is necessary for the cells to stay alive. It is absolutely essential for energy and growth. Without the transport of oxygen, life is almost unimaginable. Oxygen from the lungs reaches the blood stream and is taken to the hemoglobin cells which take the oxygen and release it in the tissue level.
