Answer:

There is a big misconception about wearing masks because of the Novel Coronavirus. A mask may protect us from air pollution and other diseases but not the Covid19. The surgical mask is to be worn by doctors, nurses, and other medics or health workers dealing directly with infected patients. The infection from human to human is by contact and closeness. Hence social distancing is recommended to break the chain of the virus spreading. No doctors, no national or international health organizations has recommended the use of masks for the general public since the outbreak of the Covid19.

Our hands are the most vulnerable parts for getting ourselves infected with the Coronavirus. We can be easily infected through our hands because we use our hands to do different things like opening doors, picking up things, punching ATM keys and floor numbers of lifts, and so on. The first thing we should do when we reach home from shopping, from work, or any other outdoor activities, is to wash our hands properly. We must not touch any part of our face before washing our hands with soaps or hand sanitizers. Some people have the habit of touching their noses or lips or ears or other parts of the face. They must be more conscious of their habits and constantly remind themselves not to touch their faces. I don't wear a mask because if it feels uncomfortable I might suddenly try to adjust it and touch my face.

When we talk of infection by Coronavirus, remember the masks you might be wearing. A mask doesn't kill viruses. Wash your hands before putting on the mask. Wash your hands after taking off the mask. Dispose masks in garbage cans which has lids or covers.
