a ) 5 Amp
b ) 15 Amp

Because the appliances with 2kw or more power needs more current to work, hence we use a 15 amp fuse .

Let's unlock the answers now…

==============================================
Your 1st answer,
The usual capacity of the current rating of fuse wire in the line to feed lights and fans is around
5A

Your 2nd answer ,

For  appliances of 2 kW of more power, the usual capacity of the current rating of the power of 50-60 A .

For  appliances of 2 kW , the usual capacity of the current rating of the power of 15-20 A
The reason, :-

Fuse wire is usually made of material which have the  low melting point as well as  have the low ohmic loss . The fuse wire making material are generally of low cost but have high conductivity

It was a pleasure to help you govind bhai :-)) :P

KunalTheGreat: ur wrong Bada
KunalTheGreat: pl answer govind?
GovindKrishnan: I believe second answer is wrong. We have to first calculate the I of the appliance from P = 2KW & V = 220V(domestic circuit)
GovindKrishnan: I believe 15A is the second ans
GovindKrishnan: & u have given 2 answers?
KunalTheGreat: yes fr both.
BadaSaGadha: Check my answer out tooo, i have written it
