Hi friend,
#Valency of (carbon dioxide) CO2 is 0. As in the carbon dioxide molecule both carbon as well as oxygen has completed their octet by sharing electrons.
#Individually carbon has 4 valency and oxygen has 2.
HOPE THIS HELPS YOU:-))

It is+ plus 4.
As it is bounded by 2 oxygen atoms which have -2 charge on each.
As the compound is neutral hence both Carbon and Oxygen charges should add up to zero.
So carbon will have +4 charge.
