♤Hey there! ♤

♤The valency of Inert gases is 0 ♤
Valency is the combining capacity of an element with the other elements. It is the number of electrons that One atom of the elements combines with the other! Inert gases Octet Configuration which full filled, hence they don't react with any other elements. So, their valency is 0

♤Non - Reacting gases obey Dalton's law of partial pressures ♤

Dalton's Law of Partial pressure states " The total pressure of the mixture of non - reacting gases in the vessel is the sum of partial pressures of each component

Pt = p1 + p2 +.................. p n-1 + pn is the mathematical expression of Dalton's law of n gases

Let Pa be the partial pressure of A then relationship is

Pa = Xa + Pt

where Xa is the mole fraction of A and Pt is the total pressure.

hello ,

ans 1.--the valency of inert gases is 0(zero) since they have complete valence shell ie they follow either octet or duplet rule and they are stable.
--they do not gain or lose electrons.

ans 2--Dalton's Law of Partial pressures states that in a mixture of non-reacting gases, the total pressureexerted is equal to the sum of the partial pressures of the individual gases."

--Dalton's law of partial pressures is applicable the mixture of non reacting gases.
--The partial pressure of a gas is the pressure exerted by that gas in the mixture of gases.
these gases are:
-CO+CO2,
- N2+O2
- H2+N2,
-H2+O2,
-SO2+O2, .
-NO2+O2.
