what is the valency of sulphur and with explanation

manasiriya2003: Valency of sulphur is 2 because it has 6 electrons in its valence shell so it only requires 2 more electrons to fill the outermost shell to become stable.
kriti3040: thanx
manasiriya2003: Wlcm
kriti3040: can i ask one more question??
manasiriya2003: Ya why not
kriti3040: explain how in sexually reproducing ororganism the number of chromosomes in progeny is maintained
manasiriya2003: Here the answer cannot be explained bcz it's quite long u may ask it as a question in brainly

hello mate the valancy of sulpher is 2.

its cofrigation is 2,8,6

so the electorn in outermost shell. is 6 so if we have the valance electrone more then 4 we substract is from 8.

so its 2 or say -2

Atomic number of sulphur = 16

Its electronic configuration is 2,8,6.

Sulphur has 6 electrons in its outermost shell. It needs 2 mote electrons to complete its octate.

Therefore valency of S = 2.

If you satisfied please mark it brainliest.
