Given : The given trigonometric term is = cos (-1125°)

To find : Value of cos(-1125°)

Solution :

We can simply solve this mathematical problem by using the following mathematical process.

Here, we will be using normal trigonometric formulas.

Now,

= cos (-1125°)

= cos (1125°) [As, cos (-θ) = cos θ]

= cos [(3 × 360°) + 45°]

= cos 45° (lies on first quadrant, hence +ve)

= 1/√2

(This will be considered as the final result.)

Used formula :

  • cos (-θ) = cos θ
  • All are positive in first quadrant.

Hence, value of cos(-1125°) is 1/2
