cos ² 67 ° - sin ² 23°
= cos ² 67° - ( sin 23°)²
= cos² 67° - [ cos ( 90 - 23)° ]²
since sin ∅ = cos ( 90 - ∅ )

∴ cos ² 67° - ( cos 67° )²
= cos ² 67° - cos² 67°
0

Hope this helps you !!

Cos^2 67°-Sin^2 23°
=Sin^2{90°-23°} - sin^2 23°
=Sin^2 23° -sin^2 23°
=0
