What is the value of current through 6ohm resistor and potential difference across 12 ohm resistor given that potential difference is 4 volt

Since the voltage (potential difference) across each resistance is same ,it must be a parallel connection setup.

Therefore, 1/ R= 1/R1 + 1/R2

= 1/6 + 1/12

= 3/12

= 1/4

Therefore, R = 4 Ohm.

We know that current ,I = V/R = 4/4 = 1 A .
