hii..

Discriminant = b^2 -4 ac

and here, a = 2 , b = -2 and c = 1

so , the value of Discriminant is (-2)^2 - 4 ( 2 ) ( 1)

=> 4-8 = - 4

HELLO!!!!
________________________________
Discriminent = b^2-4ac
d = (-2)^2 - 4(2)(1)
d = 4 - 8
d = -4
