Hey MATE!!!

Since -1 is a solution of the given quadratic equation therefore repacing x as -1 will give us the final product as zero.

So we put value of x = -1

(-1)^2 + 8(-1) + k = 0

1 - 8 + k = 0

-7 + k = 0

k = 7 Answer

Hope it helps
