What is the value of p so that the equation 3x^2-5x+2p=0 has equal roots? What are the roots?

Answer:

a = 3

b = - 5

c = 2p

For roots to be equal:-

 {b}^{2}  - 4ac = 0 \\  \\  {( - 5)}^{2}  - 4(3)(2p) = 0 \\  \\ 25 - 24p = 0 \\  \\ 25 = 24p \\  \\ p =  \frac{25}{24}
