What is the value of PV for 11.2 litre of an ideal gas at STP ?- (a) 2RT (b) RT (c) 0.5 RT (d) 11.2 RT​

Volume of gas = 11.2 litres at STP.

We know that:

1 mole of any gas at STP has a volume of 22.4 litres.

PV = nRT (Where, P is pressure, V is volume, n is no. of moles, R is gas constant, T is temperature)

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

=> 11.2 liters of gas at STP is 11.2/22.4 =>1/2 => 0.5 moles

PV = 0.5 x R x T

PV = 0.5RT

Hence, the correct answer is (c) 0.5RT .
