first we find the electronic configuration of potassium

k = 1s {}^{2} 2s {}^{2} 2p {}^{6} 3s {}^{2} 3p {}^{6} 4s {}^{1}

To find out the quantum no. we take only outermost shell

here, outermost shell is 4s1

so, quantum no.

n= 4

s= 0

m= 0

spin quantum = 1/2
