Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Sin2a + cos2a = 1

As well as

sec2a- tan2a = 1

So according to the question

Sin2a+ cos2a + sec2a- tan2a

1+1= 2

There fore the vlaue is 2

Thank you

The value of  sin^{2}a + cos^{2} a + sec^{2} a - tan^{2} a  is 2.

Given: The equation sin^{2}a + cos^{2} a + sec^{2} a - tan^{2} a

To find: The value of the above equation

Solution:

We have,

sin^{2}a + cos^{2} a + sec^{2} a - tan^{2} a

we know that, sin^{2}a + cos^{2} a = 1 ( Standard trigonometric identity)

and also, sec^{2} a - tan^{2} a = 1 ( Standard trigonometric identity)

∴ we get,

sin^{2}a + cos^{2} a + sec^{2} a - tan^{2} a = 1 +1

                                               = 2

sin^{2}a + cos^{2} a + sec^{2} a - tan^{2} a = 2
