tan (α + β) = sin(α+β)cos(α+β)sin(α+β)cos(α+β)

= sinαcosβ+cosαsinβcosαcosβ−sinαsinβsinαcosβ+cosαsinβcosαcosβ−sinαsinβ

= sinαcosβcosαcosβ+cosαsinβcosαcosβcosαcosβcosαcosβ−sinαsinβcosαcosβsinαcosβcosαcosβ+cosαsinβcosαcosβcosαcosβcosαcosβ−sinαsinβcosαcosβ, [dividing numerator and denominator by cos α cos β]

= tanα+tanβ1−tanαtanβtanα+tanβ1−tanαtanβ Proved

Therefore, tan (α + β) = tanα+tanβ1−tanαtanβ
