The increase in velocity per unit rise in temperature is called the temperature coefficient of velocity. Let v0 be the velocity of sound at zero degree centigrade and vt be the velocity of sound at t°C. Therefore the temperature coefficient of velocity of sound is 0-61 m/s°C.
